Join vocalist, Anji Bee, and musician, Ryan Lum, of indie band, Lovespirals, as they bring you the latest band happenings and discuss recent trends in music and technology while providing insight into today's world of independent music on Chillin' with Lovespirals: Insights of an Indie Band. Lovespirals began in late 1998 as an outgrowth of Love Spirals Downwards, the renowned Projekt Records recording project of multi-instrumentalist, Ryan Lum. Lum met sultry vocalist, Anji Bee, during promotions for his groundbreaking 1998 CD, 'Flux.' Bee was then working as a radio DJ and Music Director at a college radio station. The two hit it off and soon began collaborating on drum 'n' bass and downtempo remixes and singles. Over the past decade, Lovespirals have explored myriad genres, combining elements of electronica, rock, folk, jazz, blues, and world music to create their own unique and sensual sound. To date, the band have released 3 full-length albums; Windblown Kiss (2002), Free & Easy (2005), Long Way From Home (2007), 2 EPs; Ecstatic (2000), Motherless Child (2007), and numerous compilation tracks, including a remix of Claire Voyant for their 1999 CD, Time Again. Lovespirals' music has been featured on MTV, VH1, E!TV, ABC, the EW Network, and many other televison and cable channels internationally. Lovespirals' and Love Spirals Downwards' music is available on iTunes, Rhapsody, Emusic, Amazon, CDBaby, and other online and in-store retailers worldwide, as well as directly through the band at www.lovespirals.com!
